Old French 3/4 Double Bass – Peter McLachlan’s Private Collection

This is an old French made double bass, which has been part of Peter McLachlan’s private collection for several decades. It was completely restored by BassWorks Australia, including a complete sand, re-varnish and polish. The restoration work gives it a unique look, with the history of the instrument still visible despite the new smooth finish. It has the rich, beautiful sound of an old, well played and seasoned instrument. Made with a spruce top and maple back and sides.
