Description
This compact disc brings together two musicians whose talents complement one another beautifully. Frank Proto (born in 1941 in Brooklyn, New York) is an extraordinary self-taught composer, double bass player and improviser; François Rabbath (born in Aleppo, Syria) is an incredible self-taught double bass virtuoso who also composes and improvises. Proto wrote the three works recorded here for Rabbath, who played their world premieres. The Orchestras are conducted by David Stahl, Music Director of the Charleston Symphony Orchestra.
